TPS7B85-Q1: TPS7B85-Q1 SO external pullup

Part Number: TPS7B85-Q1

Tool/software:

hi,

I use TPS7B8533QWDRCRQ1 in my design , a question is about the SO pin .

Is it OK for SO pin to add another pull-up 10K resistor to VOUT?

"Do not connect this pin to VOUT or any other biased voltage rail" What is meaning about this sentence ?

Is it prohibited for SO Pin to add another external resistor to its own VOUT?

thanks !

  • Hi Bin,

I'm reviewing your query, and I will be able to get back to you in 2-4 business days.

  • Hi Bin,

Yes, it is not advisable to pull up the SO pin to Vout or any other bias voltage or to add another external resistor to its own VOUT since the logic relies on the 30KΩ internal pullup resistor. However, if this signal must be pulled up to another logic level, then an external circuit can be implemented using a PMOS transistor and a pullup resistor. Implementing the circuit shown in Figure 8-10 allows SO to be pulled up to any logic rail.
