Hello,
The LMG1020EVM-006 has a maximum bus voltage of 75V DC. The EPC2019 has a pulsed Drain current of 45A. How do we ensure that 45A current will flow through the FET in pulsed operation?
Best Regards,
Amar

Hello Amar,
The current through the FET is limited by the load resistance of the R5-R8 resistive load or laser diode if put in place and PCB current capability.
The thermal limitations of the load and FET will affect the maximum current, pulse width, and switching frequency. I suggest using a power supply that supports current limiting and slowly increasing the voltage and current.
Please see page 7 of the EVM user guide to see how to set up and test the resistive load https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snou150c/snou150c.pdf
Thank you,
Walter
