LM5066I: LM5066I hardware configuration for 180A application

I'm trying to fill the calculator, but I think I need more time to understand it.

As mentioned earlier, hot swap controller be designed to handle start-up, hot shorts, and start-up into shorts.

In our system, we won't enable full loading (180A) directly. Instead, we will initially provide power to the FPGA with a light load before progressively enabling each additional load.

Given this approach, is it feasible to design for continuous current at 180A while using a lower load during start-up? My thinking is to reduce FETs quatities.

Thank you ver much. 

I'm currently chekcing the MOSFET with CSD19536KTT, but in the "slvc577e" that spreadsheet can only input max 6 MOSFETs for parallel.

I'm hard to continue calculate the design. If there's anything wrong when I use it, or it has some limitation here?

 But, in the reference desing PMP23496 reference design. There're totally 9 MOSFETs.

Thank you for your confirmation, it reassures me a lot.

Please allow me to ask a few more questions as follows:

1. How do you calculate Rdson@Tj.dc = 3.6mOhm

2. Why is the SOA data slightly different from the MOSFET specifications I confirmed?

3. In the video, I learned about fault time needs to be greater than start time; but after I selected soft start, there is no start time anymore. If calculated it using slew rate, it would be greater than the current fault time. Is there any problem with this?

4. We have designed 0.25mΩ of Rs value. Is it possible to achieve this by using multiple shunt resistors in parallel, such as using four 1mΩ resistors?

5. When we finished that schematic, if it's possible to review it?
