BQ24650: Request for Design Review - BQ24650 Board

Hi Christian,

Thank you for your response and for pointing me to the schematic checklist.

I was hoping to get the design review completed soon, as we’re planning to start a second production run shortly. We encountered some issues with the first board, but the schematic should still be valid.

If your schedule doesn’t allow for it, would there be another person at TI who could take a quick look at the layout? Alternatively, is there a layout checklist available since the schematic hasn’t been modified?

If needed, we’re also fine waiting for your availability.

Thank you for the link, but we have already followed this design guide.
We are now on our third prototype, which has not been validated.
We want to finalize our design to move quickly into production.
We are willing to wait until you are available, but we need a design review.

Regarding the ground planes, we have separated the AGND and PGND planes as recommended. I’ve also attached the updated PCB file.

We’ve been trying to get this MPPT working since November — this is our fourth design and still no results.
The component is unstable and provides no added value.
Therefore, we’ve decided to turn to another manufacturer.

We are VERY disappointed with your support. For an order of 20,000 units, we can say the support has been nonexistent.

I understand your dissappointment, however this post was for a schematic and layout review. In my previous response I mentioned that I didn't see any obvious issues with the schematic or layout.

I see that you had another E2E post mentioning the MPPT issue, but the post was marked as resolved and I did not receive any follow up question regarding this issue. I looked forward to helping you resolve the issue, but from my understanding the issue was resolved.

We have been working on your MPPT solution since November, and unfortunately, the support process through the ticketing system has not met our expectations. As a microelectronics design office, we place high importance on technical support, and real-time, efficient assistance is crucial for us.

Can you please forward me the conversation regarding the MPPT issue. The only conversation I see regarding the MPPT issue is from last month. I would be more than happy to help resolve this issue. I just need more clarification
