Hello,

TPS61289 specifies some graphs with VLOW voltages up to 12 V in Boost mode. TPS61289EVM specifies that VLOW can only be up to 5 V.

Given I want a VHIGH of 12 - 15 V, is there an issue on using TPS61289EVM with VLOW of 5 - 8.4 V?

Also, can you send the dimensions of the TPS61289EVM?

Hi Joaquin,

The EVM voltage divider ratio on VLOW does not support >5V. The IC does support up to 12V. You can change the divider to achieve up to 8.4V.

Board dimension is 3500x3800 mil

Hello,

Can you please clarify what you mean by the voltage divider at VLOW? What should I modify so the EVM supports 8.4 V at the input of VLOW.

Hi Joaquin,

The EVM cannot be changed to support 8.4V by mere changing the divider. This switch is powered by 5V rail so it cannot support 8.4V input.
