Some questions:

1.       Is it possible to connect an external clock to this part?

2.       Is it possible to check the frequency of the monitored line (i.e: counter mode) to know if the freq. is within the upper and lower limits

3.   Fault alert through the serial interface port- is it possible to send the fault alert to the system processor via the I2C or PMBUS port (in emergency cases before the microprocesso checks the status)? If yes- can we also control the alaert word?

    1.       Is it possible to connect an external clock to this part? No.

    2.       Is it possible to check the frequency of the monitored line (i.e: counter mode) to know if the freq. is within the upper and lower limits. Yes. Use a FPWM set for 125MHz (internal clock is 250MHz).

    3.   Fault alert through the serial interface port- is it possible to send the fault alert to the system processor via the I2C or PMBUS port (in emergency cases before the microprocesso checks the status)? If yes- can we also control the alaert word? The PMBUS_ALERT pin (27) should be used for this.
