LM51772EVM-HP: How to use I2C to adjust current limit ?

Tool/software:

I am using LM51772EVM-HP to debug the constant current function and need to adjust the current through I2C. However, I found that the current is always limited to 5.4A in the constant current state. I tried to modify the internal ILIM_THRESHOLD register to adjust the current limit, but the current value did not change. Can you tell me what I should do?

Hi Qinglang,

So you would like to set the current limit level via I2C - right? This means DAC operation of the average current limit

Please check JP10 to be removed - see EVM users guide for details.

Next check the settings in the GUI to be set like this>

Yes, I tried to remove JP10, but EVM did not enter the current limiting state; I short-circuited JP10, EVM can enter CC state, but can not adjust the current through GUI
