What is the behavior of TPSM265R1V5 supplied with 24V, in case of 5V output short-circuited ?

What about the power dissipated by the IC in case of that short-circuit ?

    Hi,

    The device will go into cycle by cycle current limit. Each cycle the peak inductor current will be compared and the switch will be turned off when it crosses the overcurrent limit threshold (130 mA typically). 

    Unfortunately, we do not have data on the power dissipation during short circuit, it will depend on the inductor and board parasitics.
