BQ76952: I can not communication with I2C

Part Number: BQ76952

Tool/software:

Hello,

I have produced a completely identical circuit using the BQ76915EVM schematic file as a reference. I am currently trying to connect to BQ76952 via I2C. However, communication is not established.

I also have an EVM module. I can provide I2C communication with this module. When we make the same connection in our own circuit, the connection is not established.

I see 1.804V voltage on the REG18 pin.
The BREG pin shows a voltage that does not change very often around 4-5V.
I feed the BAT pin with 14.46V (I test with 4 series Li-ion batteries).
I see 25.18V on the CP pin.

When I compare these values with the EVM module, everything seems fine

  • Hello Emre,

Do you have your own pullups to ~3.3V for the SDA/SCL lines on your own circuit? Does the MCU you are using have clock stretching? Do you have waveforms and a logic analyzer file of your SDA/SCL lines as well?

    Best Regards,
    Alexis
