Dear TI Support Team,

I have a question regarding the EMSHUT (Emergency FET Shutdown) feature on the BQ40Z50, and I would appreciate some expert insights.

When EMSHUT is triggered, does it only close CFET and DFET, or does it also cause the BQ40Z50 to enter SHUTDOWN mode?

If EMSHUT does not trigger Shutdown Mode, what other hardware triggers can cause the device to enter SHUTDOWN mode?

Hello Tom,

When triggered EMSHUT the system will go into shutdown mode, and interm of what other hardware triggers cause the device to enter shutdown mode please reference section "5.4 SHUTDOWN Mode" within page 48 of the technical reference manual.
