Hi,

No the PD controller only configures the USB-C lanes, it cannot function as a source.

Hi Vishesh,

Is it possible to configure the Source in DisplayPort Alternate mode by connecting a USB Host to the Type-B connector on the TUSB564-Q1 and a DisplayPort Source to the DisplayPort connector on the TUSB564-Q1?

Yes, do you mean as follows?

TUSB546-Q1 is better used for a DP/ USB source providing video data:

TUSB564-Q1 is better used for a DP/ USB sink receiving video data:

Sorry for no response. Yeah I agree with you to connect 1064/1046.

However we do not have automotive grade 1046 at this time, my customer want to use 5461 instead.

Based on this reason, can you check this question again?

Hi,

Yes the TUSB5461-Q1 EVM can be used here. However, keep in mind that TUSB5461-Q1 is nothing more than an active mux.

You will need an external DP source + USB host to test fully test the EVM.
