Tool/software:
I am applying a voltage in the reverse direction through the TPS259570DSG chip so the current is flowing via the reverse diode from the OUT port to the IN port.
I have tested this successfully at approx. 16V, 2A.
In the datasheet there are no specs for this application e.g. voltage, current limits. Can you share these spec if they exist and is this method recommended?
Hi Sean,
The Body diode is not designed for continuous current flow. If you want current from OUT to IN, we recommend turning on the device i.e. VIN > 2.53 and EN high and conduct through the main FET. The body diode can sustain small currents which can allow the Input cap to charge and turn on the device.
