I currently have both bq76PL455A-Q1 and bq79616-Q1.

First of all, I want to try this eval. module with 455 for active balancing scenario. In this context, I need these files to examine both Bom lists and see the design.

Besides, as a next step, I want to try active balancing with 616. Is it possible with this card? If not, is there another active balancing solution?

I apologize for the delayed response. I want to quickly clarify, active balancing means not only discharging (passive balancing) but also charging cells to balance. Is this correct?

Yes, I think it's a correct definition.

What I mean here is that, theoretically, if we consider three cells, each cell drops to 70% in 70%, 72% and 75% SOC situations in passive balancing. In active balancing, I meant that it captures the average SOC (approximately 72%).

Hi Ismail,

Unfortunately, BQ79616 does not feature active cell balancing. This has never been implemented on this device. This has been implemented in the past on PL455, however, this part is no longer supported.

Are you referring to this file?: 16-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery Active Balance Reference Design

Please keep in mind that 455 is a very old part and we no longer support these parts and recommend using 616.
