TPS6594-Q1: Leakage current of GPIOs/digital inputs and outputs over full operating temperature range

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello TI Support Team,

We are currently evaluating the TPS6594-Q1 and noticed that the datasheet doe not specifies any leakage current infomation for GPIOs and other digital inputs and outputs. We would appreciate, if you could confirm the expected leakage current behavior of GPIO pins and other digital inputs and outputs of the device over full operating temperature raneg i.e -40degC to 125degC.

This confirmation would assist us in our design and ensure that our calculations for the expected performance margin are aligned with the device's characteristics. I am looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,

Manoj.

  • Hello Manoj,

Due to the nature of the GPIOs and the warnings like that below relating to GPIOs and their respective power domain we do not make specific claims over leakage current figures as that would be outside of the scope of the recommended operating figures per the note below.

  • Hello Nicholas,

    Thank you for your response.

As the datasheet does not specify any input leakage current information for the digital I/Os, we would like to verify if using a value of 10 µA at 125°C would be a reasonable and conservative assumption for our analysis.

Could you please confirm whether this estimate aligns with your internal characterization, or advise if a more appropriate value should be considered for full operating temperature of the device?

    We appreciate your support.

    Best regards,

    Manoj.

  • Thank you for your inquiry. US and Europe TI offices are closed on April 18th. You will receive a response early next week. Thank you for your patience!
