Tool/software:
Since the TLV1117 output current is not enough. Out system load is 0.8A. So we want to parallel 2x TLV1117 for the same output.
May I know parallel 2x LDO have any concern?

Gary

Hi Gary,
We have other LDO's which are capable of 2A (or more) without being paralleled. Can we use a different LDO here?
One common method to paralleling an LDO is with ballast resistors. Typically with this technique you will want to tie the references together to eliminate error from each LDO being paralleled, however that is not possible with the TLV1117 (unlike some of our other LDO's). Here are some resources on this method of parallel LDO's:
Parallel LDO Architecture Design Using Ballast Resistors
Comprehensive Analysis and Universal Equations for Parallel LDO's Using Ballast Resistors
Another method to paralleling an LDO is with an op-amp and current sense resistors. We do not have comprehensive literature on this topic however that could be done here, however getting it to work will be something the customer will have to do since we do not have a reference design available to reference. Here is a reference on this type of parallel LDO topology:
