BQ25618: TI Recommendation

Part Number: BQ25618

Tool/software:

Hello:

The customer is looking for a charging chip to be used with a lithium battery protection IC. The application scenario given by the R&D is as follows: Please help recommend a ti model? Thank you.

1. Pursue fast charging, but do not increase the current in the constant current stage.
2. The solution given by Ablic (lithium battery protection IC original manufacturer) is that the lithium battery protection chip has an output pin (as shown in the figure). The function of this pin is to send a pulse signal when it is close to overcharging.
3. What the customer currently needs to solve is to find a charging IC that has been CC charging pulses before receiving the pulse signal, and after receiving the signal, it changes to CV charging.

The solution of our lithium battery protection chip is as shown in Figure 1:

  • Hello,

We have plenty of battery chargers that do a CC charge and CV charge. We also have several chargers that send interrupts when the charging status changes, we do not force CV charging unless the part is ready.

Please take a look at our portfolio and find the numerical voltage/current requirements you desire and we can go from there.

    Regards,

    Mike Emanuel
