TPS22992: Behaviour under over load conditions

Hello,

How will the TPS22992S behave in case of over load conditions (not short circuit) ?

For example, if VIN=4V and the output is loaded with a 0.5Ohm resistor, what will happen?

Will it limit the current to 6A? Can it get damaged in this case?

Hello Alex,

TPS22992 doesn't have current limiting. It has short circuit and TSD.

You can check eFuse for current limiting features.

Yes, If current goes high from device mentioned current rating, it can get damaged.
