TPS562212: Simple 5V usb-c charger

Part Number: TPS562212
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB320, TUSB320LI, TUSB320HI, TUSB320HAI, TUSB320LAI, TPS25821

Tool/software:

Hello TI,

I want to build my own simple 5V/2A USB-C charger from Lipo battery pack.

I want to use TPS562212 as a step-down converter. I want to solder USB-C cable with USB-C male connector directly to pcb.

So, it is needed to connect pullup resistor from VBUS 5V to CC pins, right? This will indicate for sink device maximum current capabilities, right?

Is it necessary to add some another current protection circuit?

Thank you for advice.

Regards,
Martin
