Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24041
Tool/software:
Hi,
Customer is evaluating on BQ24041EVM.
After the end of charging output on BQ24041, CV charging continued, and if left for a while, the current gradually decreased to 0A. According to datasheet 8.4.11, "End Threshold -> CHG: Hi-Z -> Battery Detection routine -> Charging current Termination" is described.
On the other hand, according to data sheet 8.4.9, when TTDM is entered, the current gradually decreases until it reaches zero. Since the BQ24041 does not have a TS pin, it is assumed that there is no TTDM function, but from the result it looks like TTDM behavior.
So they have the following questions.
・ Is this expected behavior as a device?
・ Although BQ24041 does not have a TS terminal, is TTDM functioning?
・Is there a way how to stop charging at the CHG output? If they disable it, I think I can avoid it. Is there any other way?
In addition, the battery is not inserted or removed because it is for charging the fixed battery. Also, the BAT_EN pin is pulled down by 10kΩ.
Thanks and best regards,
M.HATTORI.
