Tool/software:
If I want to just connect it to an output of a power button controller can I connect my load switch this way? Is it going to work?

Hi Aria,
Can you confirm my understanding of your question/system.
I am assuming that power button controller is debouncing circuit, controller with external FETs controlling the main power path. You want to use this device instead of external FET and control the enable signal using the power button controller.

Yes in other words..
The power button controller has an output signal that goes high when the power button is pressed. The output signal is this "Sys_PWR_ON". Basically the external power path control FET is being replaced by this load switch which gates the high current power rail Sys_Switch from downstream until power button is pressed.
The power button controller I am using is LTC2954b
Hi Aria,
I don't see any concerns here. You may have to add a pull down at this pin for scenario where LTC2954b is not controlling the pin (when the controller ic is off is one such possible scenario)
