UCC27201: PCN: Difference between UCC27201DR old and new one

I would need a quick response in regards to these questions:

initial question:

Could you please provide the date code from which the datasheet update, in the PCN # 20240723008.1 described, was implemented? This information is crucial for us to differentiate between components produced before and after the update.

First answer:

I received an interesting update yesterday from my team on how to track it:

  1. Referring to the Country of Origin will be your best bet. Pre-PCN material should be from Taiwan and Post-PCN from Mexico (specifically for D package).
  2. Based on Seal date. After PCN material is shipping from 21st October 2024.

But we still have discrepancies and questions.

We also have older reels that are before 21st of October 24 and they are from Mexico.

 

We have created an Excel list where we have our reels and those of our manufacturing partners above.

There are more to come, but we are still missing the pictures of the other partner.

 We would need the following information from you.

- Is it still the old 3.3 V type or is it the 3.0 V type? (Pre PCN or past PCN)

 

Please check it and leave a comment in the TI comment box if that´s possible for your.

The information is crucial for us, the parts have "safety relevant" status and could harm our business with our new devices.

    Hey Matthias,

    Thank you for reaching out to TI with your questions regarding the UCC27201.

    Both the pre PCN and post PCN parts are capable of operating with either a 3V or 3.3V signal on the inputs due to the thresholds as shown below.

    For the shipping date of October 21, 2024. That was a proposed first ship date. Any material that you have ordered and received as of today is pre PCN material as we have not started shipping the post PCN material in volume yet.

    The PCN was issued on July 23, 2024 and the datasheet was updated on ti.com then as well.

    I have reattached the Excel file and added notes that it is Pre-PCN material. This is due to as I mentioned above, anything that has shipped up until this point has been pre PCN material with the exception of PCN samples.
