What is the voltage drop and current requirement for the backlight LED on this 2 inch display? And what is the input voltage of the LED driver? We can recommend the corresponding device with the input and output voltage/current scale.

Hi Hongjia, 

They customer let me know they were finding in simulation that if our display had a voltage drop on the lower end (2.7V) the regulator would not kick into switching mode. The backlight for our device in the datasheet lists 2.7V on the low end 3.1V typical and 3.4V on the high end. They are using this to drive the backlight of a display on the front of our unit. D5 was added to produce a larger voltage drop, our backlight string is only 3 LEDs in parallel. Let me know if you need anymore information from me.
