LM5156EVM-BST: MOSFET Q1 change

Part Number: LM5156EVM-BST

Tool/software:

Hello,

I have noticed that the BOM in the user guide (and the same in the altium file) say that the MOSFET Q1 is the onsemi NVMFS5C670NL but on our eval board the MOSFET is infineon IAUC60N04S6L039.
The eval board of the user guide and altium project is BMC061 E1 and our is BMC061 A and the footprint correspond to the NVMFS5C670NL.

Is this possible to have the BOM of the LM5156EVM-BST BMC061 A up to date to know if there is others changes ?
Regarding the MOSFET selection, is there any reason that it have been changed ? The spec look the same for me so we could use both references and have the same performance.

  • Hi Erwan,

Thanks for using the E2E forum.

I have check the boards with A version and they all include the Onsemi FET, which matches the BOM in user's guide.

Sometimes, there are some supply issues at manufacturer end and they ask for replacement of the component.

The FET on your board will not affect the functionality of the converter.

    Best Regards,

    Hassan
