Tool/software:
I would like thoughts on the potential for parallel-ing the outputs of up to six TPS54821 buck converters. The goal is to create a 0.8V 48A supply rail for an FPGA. I would use a MCU on the board to generate 6 synchronized 200 kHz clocks equally phase separated to synchronize the 6 supplies. Is this likely to work smoothly?
Obvious question you might as is why would I do this rather than pick a higher current component.. I am designing a system for a spaceflight application, but rather than using expensive long-lead time components, I am using commercial grade components that have been put through radiation test. The TPS54821 is the highest current supply that I can find with adequate radiation test results.
