BQ77915: Schematic review for 10S1P pack

Part Number: BQ77915

Tool/software:

Hi TI,

May I please have a schematic review on my design for a stacked-BQ77915 based 10S1P BMS design? I am using the '01' variant (BQ7791501) and 21700 cells with a voltage range of 4.2V - 2.5V. I plan to implement UVLO at 2.8V though. I would've gone with the '00' variant, however, I need to charge to 4.2V, and I am unsure if the 4.2V OVLO clashes with a 4.2V end-of-charge voltage, so I settled with the 4.25V OVLO of the '01' instead. The schematic and BOM are attached.

Charge/discharge current will reach up to 9A, however the cells and cell connections are capable of significantly more, so OCD is implemented at a nominal 17.5A. The pack will be integrated into a 240W USB-C design.

I am unsure if Q6 is the correct choice for a protection PMOS for the CHG pin - please let me know if it is suitable :) I have followed Figure 10-5 in the datasheet and tried to implement all protections related to the FETs.

Please excuse my messy use of cell connections from 1 to 11 (1 being PACK+ and 11 being the unprotected ground pack connection to the BMS).

Thank you so much Slight smile If you could get this review done as quickly as possible, I would be very grateful, as I need to send the PCBs out for manufacturing in a few days to make a YouTube video by the end of the month, on my channel 'Haase Industries' with 10K subscribers. Slight smile

Have a great day!

Kind regards,

Rain
