LM74502H-Q1: Query related to connection of SRC pin.

Hi Team,

We are planning to use LM74502H-Q1 in one of our applications.

We will be controlling two different circuits of back-to-back N-channel FETs.

So we can not connect the common Source of back-to-back FETs to the 'SRC' Pin because of the two separate circuits.

Please advise if we can connect the SRC pin to VS or GND for normal operation.

Looking for a prompt response.

Surely, SRC can not be connected to GND.

Hello Shiven,

Please find the block diagram for the connections below.

We are trying to use one device instead of two for cost-saving. Please advise if the 'SRC' pin can be connected with the 'VS' pin as per the application.

Please let me know if you require any more details.

Hi Shubha,

SRC is the source point for MOSFET to be driven. It has to be connected to MOSFET source.

We will also violate GATE to SRC ratings of the controller.

Connecting SRC to VS is not advised.

Hi Shiven,

Thank you for your feedback.

Can you please suggest another way to use this device as per our application? Cost is very critical component and using two devices will lead to higher price.
