I use the BQ51050B in a design charging a 675mAh battery and i am investigating a charging issue in the field which is very hard to reproduce in my lab.
In some rare cases the TX pads indicate an error which i could not understand so I built a demodulation circuit to read all the packages received by the TX pad.
When the error occurs, i receive the EPT with reason 00 after Signal strengt, Identification and Configuration package was received (a few Control error packages as well, log below)
when i try to replicate the error in my lab i cannot get this behaviour. For example shorting TS/CTRL to the battery + will give me a EPT 00 as well but immediately without the other packages upfront
a disconnected Battery will behave the same.
AD - Pin is described in Table 1 as a possible cause but connected to GND wich so i cannot manipulate this pin for checking.
When i disconnect the battery and reconnect it, the behavior is gone and the System acts normally.
Is there a hint you could give me what to look at next?
