BQ76952: BQ Full Reset Issue

Tool/software:

Dear TI Expert,

We are using BQ7695202 IC with Host controller and we are not using OTP.

We are facing problem in following sequence.

Step1. BMS functions are okay.

Step2. BMS stops giving measured value of sense voltage and temperature.

Step3. We send command 0x0012 for full Reset (Twice time).

Step4. Delay 

  • 1st time - 100mS.
  • 2nd time - 200mS.
  • 3rd time - 300mS.
  • 4th time - 400mS                             

Step5. BQ initialize enter config. mode

Step6. Exit_command

           Return to normal function but BQ parameter are not initialize for example multifunction parameters where we measured temperature (TS1, TS2, HDQ, CFETOFF, DFETOFF) does not provide temperature.

           This means BQ7695202 is not initialize in this sequence.

           Please Suggest possible mistake which we are making.

Remark: We have developed after studying BQ7695202 datasheet, TRM and Software development guide.

    Hi Rahul,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I believe 400ms delay is enough for device reset. 

    Did you check if device entered CFG_UPDATE mode like below sequence?

    Or, do you have transaction log of your operations?
