LMG1210: Multi MHz GaN-FET Buck Converter Schematic Validation

We are developing a GANFET based Buck Converter using LMG1210 IC and EPC2001C FET.
We Request you to Validate Our schematic Attached below for the same and give your feedback.

Insights about Schematic,
1. Mostly inspired from LMG1210-EVM
2. intended to be used in PWM mode
3. Highly debug Friendly
4. 0.1MHz to 10MHz PWM Frequency Range
5. 3A Max Load
6. Same supply for Buck and Control IC if VSupply < 18V
7. Different Supply for Control IC if Vsupply > 18V
8. PWM and EN signals can be 5V or 3.3V Logic levels
9. Screw Terminal to Connect External Inductors for Testing

Hello,

I would recommend rotating the feedthrough capacitors on HB-HS and VDD to match the EVM connection.

I would also suggest adding 0 ohm gate resistors on HO and LO in case the gate resistance needs to be changed.

The buck circuit also looks to be missing the HS connection.

1. the Feed-through Capacitor should e connected like in the below image from capacitor datasheet

so from the Above inference, the GND(3) mentioned in the Pin-out should be Connected to HS and Input(1) and Output(2) to HB and Diode Cathode Right ?

Hello Surya,

The feed through capacitor can be connected either way but it is most critical to place the capacitor on the top layer, as close as possible to LMG1210.
