LM74900-Q1: Secondary/Aux LM74900-Q getting hot when using Qty 2 LM74900-Q1 to create a redundant 48V PSU

Part Number: LM74900-Q1

Tool/software:

We found the initial plan in Priority Power MUX using Ideal Diodes in Automotive Zonal Modules document Figure 9.

The system works as I would expect and I can turn on and off VPRIM and VAUX as I would expect with no issue, the computer on the output side stays on and has no glitches or problems.

I do see 2 things that I would like support on:

#1) The problem that I am having is the Secondary/Aux LM74900-Q gets hot ~70°C when I am using the primary path, in this case the Primary is only around ~30°C.  I would expect the Secondary/Aux LM74900-Q to be at least as cool as the primary as its not doing anything.

#2) Then when I switch over to the Secondary/Aux (by turning off the PSU feeding VPrim) the input mosfets get hot ~58°C.  I would expect them to act like the primary path mosfets which never go above ~30°C when they are in use.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need more info.

Thanks
