There is Figure on TPS92201 data sheet to show the Vout short behavior.

Inductor current clamped at about 2.2A, this has no relationship with Iset.

Vout drop to zero.

Have below 2 confirmations:

1) The Minimum PWM signal is 20KHz to the TPS92201, any frequency in the range of 100/500Hz will not be detected by part?

2) The Output current will have the same frequency and duty cycle as the PWM input?

Hi,

TPS92201 internal circuit has low pass filter to filter out the average DC level of the PWM dimming signal, the lower PWM freq the higher ripple on average voltage, PWM freq 100/500Hz is too low that the output will has same freq which follow the PWM high/Low cycle.
