BQ34Z100-G1: question about bq34z100-G1

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100,

Hello:

This is the schematic diagram of the bq34z100 module circuit. Please investigate,

5824.BQ34Z100.pdf
The first and second columns in the figure are both the currents of BQ34Z100-G1, and the third column is the current of another current acquisition chip. It has been found that there is also a delay in updating the current, with the current value not updated for 18 seconds. Could you please help analyze the reason? Thank you

  • Hello Jimmy,

This is usual since the current goes through the sense resistor that is connected to the between SRP and SRN, from the pdf you sent  I can't tell what sense resistor you have but could you attached the part number to it. Best guess is that something is wrong with your Sense resistor or that you have to much of a voltage drop on that part. Below I marked up the schematic, green means good and orange are places for alerts. The biggest thing that is not related to your issue is that I haven't seen p2 being used for a optocoupler but that is up to the user to test to see if it is a possible option for sending information through and the missing diode on the communication lines for SDA and SCL which are used to prevent ESD damaging events.

    Thank you,
    Alan
