Hi,

I need 20V and max 1.5A out of a USB C source, but I get only 5V (with USB A to USB C cable) or something swinging between 3V and 5V (with an USB C to USB C cable)

I tried different sources but nothing worked out.

Hi Matthias,

I'm not immediately sure what the issue may be, but do have some suggestions.

It may be hard, but could you try tying the Fault_in pin to LDO3V3 through a pullup resistor? This input pin needs to be biased appropriately otherwise the part will remain in a disconnected state and could prevent high voltage negotiation.

Yes, please let me know what you find.

If you have a PD analyzer, it may also be useful to see PD logs of the system, but I would try the resistor first.

Thanks a lot, it was the Fault Pin, this pin was not explicit used in the reference design from the datasheet.
