TPS65987DDKEVM: GPIO Behavior of TPS65987DDK EVM

Part Number: TPS65987DDKEVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

Let me confirm whether attached behavior is expected or not.
We do not have plan to use USB3.x intentionally. We just want to set only use DP alternate mode.
As I attached, we saw "one port USB3.x" setting at first. And after that we saw "4 lane DP mode".
Could you please confirm attached file and give you opinion about this ?

  • Hi Ryuuichi,

Yes, this could be fine. On initial connect, the port might be seen as USB3 as DP alt mode negotiation has not happened yet. GPIO1 may be going low after DP alt mode has been negotiated for 4-lane DP. As long as the GPIO is in the correct setting when DP alt mode has been negotiated and HPD goes high, you should be fine.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Chris
