TPS61200: Too much shutdown current using the UVLO-function

Hi all,

In one of my projects, I used the TPS61200. The main reason for choosing this IC was UVLO function.

This UVLO behavior has also been confirmed in the following topic:
e2e.ti.com/.../tps61200-vout-behavior-when-uvlo-is-triggered

However, during testing, I noticed that when the input voltage drops to around 0.7 V, the output is turned off, but the shutdown current is still around 2 mA.

Jasper Li Nini Zhong could you help me how to get very low shoutdown current when UVLO is active?

You mean Vin>UVLO,EN=0, and requires low shutdown current ? What is the shutdown current required?

Could you share the testing schematic?

Hi Nini,

Below I am sending a link to scheme with step-up converter and NiMh battery charger.

As you can see I use single NiMh cell, I set resistor divider to get value around 0.21 V on UVLO pin, when the battery voltage is 0.7V.

So the EN=1, UVLO is active when Uin is around 0,7 V.

I expected that in this situation the shutdown current will be 1-2 uA (Isd in the documentation).

I guess you mean UVLO is 0.21V.But the current test now is not shutdown current, because EN should be low to test this current.
