Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR54406, LM2674
Tool/software:
Looking at the Webench design for LMR51606XFDBVR and not seeing a way to see the % regulation as Webench only provides LMR51606DBVR. How would this be handled?
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Voltage regulation should be the same.

Thanks Rahil.
It seems you are saying that the LMR5xxxx should exhibit the same % regulation.
I have looked at a number of the LMR5xxxx datasheets and there appears to be a lack of consistency.
I currently have a design using the LM2674 which states +/- 1.5 % regulation and I want to duplicate this. The LM2674 suggests replacing it with the LMR54406 which shows to have +/- 1.5% regulation. However, the LM2674 Recommended Operating Condition is 40V max and the LMR54406 is 36V. They both retain the 45V Absolute Maximum.
I asked the question about the LMR516 as it has a 65V Absolute Maximum, however the % regulation for the FPWM mode is not specified in the datasheet. The LMR516 will solve all my problems if it maintains the 1.5% regulation.
Hope this makes sense,
John
I have just found that the LMR514 has a Recommended Operating Condition is 42V max which support my requirements. Just need to see if the % regulation for the FPWM mode maintains the +/-1.5% regulation.
Hi John,
I am saying that all LMR516XX parts will exhibit the same % regulation.
PFM mode only affects light load which is where regulation will be the worst. You can read more about PFM mode on the datasheet.
