Hello team,

My customer is using TPS65219 for powering AM6442.

They want to program the NVM of TPS65219 from the AM6442, after AM6442 is fully powered up.

Is this possible?
Does customer need external MCU or power supply for programing the NVM of TPS65219?

Hi Kei,

It is possible to program a new NVM into TPS65219 on the board. Customer need to have access to I2C lines and follow few simple I2C transactions and power cycle to complete the process.

Thank you for your answer.

I have one question.
On TPS65219 NVM programming guide, it says we can't use TPS65219 power supply for I2C bus pull up voltage.
Why can't we use TPS65219 power supply for I2C bus?

Customer want to program TPS65219 from the AM6442, then all the power supply from TPS65219 should be stable even during programming, because those power supplies are fed to AM6442.

Hi Kei,

This note applies to when user trying to change the PMIC output to very low voltage (<1V) and use that as I2C pull up voltage.

If the output rail is stable during the programming process then it should be okay.
