Hi PMIC experts,

Could you please confirm if the PMIC supports 5V operation.

Are there any differences with respect to TPS65224 that customer needs to be aware while using.

Hi Sreenivasa,

the PMIC spec is up to 5.5V so 5V is supported but the NVM configuration that is tied to a certain OPN (orderable part number, for example TPS6522312RAHRQ1) might support only 3.3V due to the voltage monitor configuration.

So at the end of the day this comes down to the specific NVM configuration.

Hi Sreenivasa,

yes actually the TPS6522312RAHRQ1 supports both 3.3V and 5V operation. The input voltage level is checked at the startup and voltage monitor is configured accordingly. After start-up the set VCCA voltage monitor threshold has to be complied with so the VCCA can't change during operation or it will result in VCCA_UVOV_INT.

The TPS6522312RAHRQ1 has been configured especially for TDA4 devices.
