LM5066I: Question regarding Fault Timer and Restart

Hi team,

I have a question regarding "8.4.3 Fault Timer and Restart" on the datasheet. The datasheet mentioned "Finer control of the retry behavior can be achieved through the DEVICE_SETUP (D9h) register. Retry counts of 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, or infinite may be selected by setting the appropriate bits in the DEVICE_SETUP (D9h) register." This means users can control the number of mountains and valleys in Figure 15. Is my understanding correct?

Hi team,

I have several questions regarding the behavior of fault timer. Are there any ways to calculate the t_RESTART?

t_flt in the equation 52 on the datasheet means Fault Timeout Peirod. Is my understanding correct?

Hi pal-san,

Thank you so much for answering my questions. Regarding the equation to calculate the t_RESTART time, I think it is better to describe it on the datasheet or the userguide of EVM.

for example, if the number of mountains and valleys is 2, the equation of t_RESTART is below. Is my understanding correct?
