Tool/software:
Hi,
I´m using a BQ7697202. In the datasheet its written "CRC enabled: Y". Does this mean, that it can only be used with CRC? Or does it depend on the communication register in data memory?
Best regards,
Achim

Hello Achim,
It means that the device will come with CRC already enabled so you will need CRC to initially communicate with it. You may change the comm type to something else, however, unless you OTP it, the device will default to I2C CRC when the device resets. More information can be found in Chapter 9 Serial Communications Interfaces of the technical reference manual.
