we are design a system which have a battery backup . following are its specification
1. Primary Voltage : 4.2 (stepping down from 5V to 4.2V ,stable output)
2. Secondary Voltage :4.2V(from single cell Li ion ,varies from 3.2 to 4.2V)
for a seamless switch over between the power sources . we are planning to use TPS21117.
1.Is IC provides seamless switchover.
2.The datasheet mentions when the mode pin falls below .35V the IC works in diode mode. since i am using
priority mode the pin should be connected to primary voltage . if the primary voltage goes to zero the device starts
working in diode mode. what will be the performance variation of IC
is any other IC available in TI portfolio with feature of seamless switch over with current of max .4A
3. CAN we use TPS2121IC
