Dear TI experts,

My customer asked theoretical values of phase margin and gain margin of schematics below.

I know that TI WEBENCH simply shows these values if I simulate, but these 2 LDOs do not support WEBENCH simulation.

Could you help me to get these 2 values from each 2 schematics below?

1. TPS7A8801QRTJRQ1 (phase margin and gain margin)

2. TPS73601QDBVRQ1 (phase margin and gain margin)

No updates yet. Could you please tell me why the customer wants this information? If Bench test is not possible, would a simulation result be acceptable?

Just their end customer requested these information. It is okay to provide simulation result like WEBENCH. real value regarding customer's schematic is not needed.

(I already told them it is very hard to provide real value because it also depends on the layout and PCB stack.)

Hi Chase,

Unless the customer has a reported issue with stability, our guidance is that if they follow the Cout, R_ESR, Cin recommended operating conditions. This guarantees stability. We currently don't have the resources to support a request that is only inquisitive in nature and not based on a true customer situation.

At least I want to know the name of part which is very similar to TPS7A88-Q1 so I can refer the result of phase margin and gain margin through WEBENCH simulation.

TPS7A91 and TLV752 are equivalents in performance to TPS7A88.

Both TPS7A91 and TLV752 do not support WEBENCH simulation. Could you check the parts again which support WEBENCH?

In that case, we don't have any equivalents that do support a WEBENCH simulation for phase and gain margin. Please ask the customer to follow our recommended operating conditions for CIN, COUT and R_ESR for Cout and that TI guarantees stability in such a condition.
