Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9090
Tool/software:
Hello,
We are using two UCD9090A on our board. We don't have onboard microcontroller to load the PMBUS commands. We are using Fusion digital power designer GUI to load our program to the UCD9090 devices.
We have couple of questions.
1. So far we have developed the configuration file through the GUI and have saved the file in .tifsp format. We load this TIFSP file to the UCD9090A devices on all our boards. Is it acceptable for production? In datasheet (page 44) there is a mention that "It is recommended to use Intel Hex file or data flash script file for production programming because the GPIOs are under controlled states.". We have never used Hex file before. We always used TIFSP file. Can we do production programming through TIFSP file? We prefer TIFSP format because it allows us to store the configuration of multiple UCD9090s in a single file.
2. If we were to use HEX file, can we use GUI to program the devices. Is there any instruction manual on how to import HEX files to the device?
