I ran the TI webench power designer (18-21V in, 24V out, 8 Amps) to get a baseline design and built an eval board around these components (substituted for similar N-ch MOSFETs. I needed 60V parts for derating). It would not work at the recommended switching frequency of 500kHz. I did get the design to work properly when I lowered the switching frequency to 100kHz. What is the probable cause? It is related to the gate capacitance of the high side MOSFET? Or its charge?
