Tool/software:
Hi,
Few questions on the self-discharge rate in low-power storage mode of BQ2060A.
1) In low power storage mode, does self-discharge rate still being calculated by the IC?
2) Is there a RTC inside the IC that is still functioning during sleep mode, any register that inform us on the total time the IC has been in sleep mode?
3) To overwrite self-discharge rate register in the EEPROM, can it be done after the IC has been "sealed"? How may we unseal an IC?
4) My problem currently is the battery pack that I'm using with BQ2060A has been programmed with self-discharge rate of 205uA/h. After I enable sleep mode, I tested that the actual self discharge of the battery packs becomes 20uA/h. However, if the self-discharge rate programmed is 205uA/h, I am afraid that over a long period of storage in low-power mode the RM will still be calculated based on the self-discharge of 205uAh instead of the actual 20uA/h. Please suggest a solution to this, the 205uA/h is still needed to consider battery normal operating discharge rate during normal operation. I need an automated way for the IC to segregate between self-discharge rate in low power mode and normal mode.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Amirul
