TPS92360: Switching Frequency

Hi,

When I operated the IC with an input voltage of 5V, the switching frequency was 1.58MHz. Is it a problem if the switching frequency exceeds 1.5MHz when the input voltage is 5V?

The data sheet lists the switching frequency value when the input voltage is 3V, but there is no value for 5V.

Hi Nishie,

The TPS92360 operates in a current mode scheme with quasi-constant frequency. The off-time is fixed for a certain VIN and VOUT. In the datasheet, the frequency range applies for Vin=3V and it could change with different Vin. For 5V, it's possible that the frequency is over 1.5MHz.
