LMZ31710: Confirmation of measures regarding the abolition of RoHS exemption 15(a)

Part Number: LMZ31710

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

The target products contain Lead under exemption 15(a).
Our customer has asked about the future policy regarding this exemption.
Please answer the following:

Target product: LMZ31710RVQT

・LMZ31710RVQT uses RoHS exemption 15(a). 15(a) may be abolished 12 months after it comes into effect, but is TI taking any action?

・Are there any plans to change to lead-free products?
If Yes, please let us know the timeline for this.
If No, please let us know the reason and future plans.
Or if there are fully RoHS compliant alternatives, let us know that part number.

Thank you and best regards,
Daisuke Hagiwara

  • Hi Daisuke

what is the application spec , is this a stacked application?, what is the output current, Input voltage, output voltage, switching frequency.

    Thank you

  • Hi Rayakanti san

Thank you for your quick reply.

The required specifications are as follows:

    ・Vin=+5V ±8%

    ・Vout= +1.1V

・Iout(Max)=10A *Actual value is 6-7A, but 10A including margin of customer design rule

・Requirements: Fast response and good voltage accuracy, as it is used as the core power supply of FPGA

・Desired conditions: Compared to LMZ31710, performance is the same (or better), price is the same (or less), size is the same (or less)

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

We would also appreciate it if you could check TI's policy for complying with the European RoHS Directive.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Daisuke Hagiwara
