BQ76952: bq76952 - Separate BAT and VC15 for OTP programming

Part Number: BQ76952
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76942

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

In customer production line, they will copack (cell attached on PCBA) and then perform OTP.

Since BAT voltage is limited to 10~12 volts, is it possible we can apply single source on BAT pin to meet OTP requirement?

My concern is this operation will cause any influence because total battery voltage is higher than 12 volts but BAT voltage is only 12 volts.

  • Hello Beginner,

In order to program OTP, 10-12 V must be applied to the BAT pin and the highest VCx pin (i.e. VC16 for the BQ76952, VC10 for the BQ76942). Otherwise the device will not allow OTP programming. This means that the battery cells should not be connected when programming the OTP.

Please refer to this OTP FAQ and Calibration and OTP Guide

    Best Regards,
    Alexis
