TPS1689: Necessity of VLSTBY connecting SWEN

Hello,

i want to connect two eFuses in a parallel configuration.

In the Datasheet (schemactic example) it shows a connetion to VLSTBY via a pull-up Resistor (page 49)

But in in the schematic design of the EVM it shows no connection to any voltage source (page 25 users manual EVM)

So my question is do I need to connect the SWEN signal to an external voltage source or not?

Hi Omer,

SWEN pin does not need an external pullup.

So if I let the SWEN Pin floating (single device coniguration) the signal is always high, when the eFuse is enabled and no Faults occure?

Same for parallel configuration: If i connect both SWEN pins, they stay high too right?

Hi Omer,

Yes in both single and parallel configuration there is internal pullup on swen pin.
