I have newly purchased a USP-TO-GPIO2 evaluation device from TI official website, however it fail to communicate with BQ wizard.

what should I proceed to solve the issue?

I have tried both windows 11 and windows 10, unfortunately both have failed to communicate with BQ wizard.

Hello Ben,

BQStudio doesn't use USB2ANY to interface with BQstuido, rather we use the EV2400 tool to interface with BQStudio.

The hardware configuration is correct. I have another USB-to-GPIO is working. only the newly purchase one is not working.

Any firmware or setup is required for new USB-to-GPIO tools?

Hello Ben,

We don't support USB-to-GPIO, however I recommend asking another e2e for " USB-to-GPIO" tool since it appears that the issue is with the USB interface tool.

Hello Ben,

I would recommend making another e2e for the USB-to-GPIO2 unit and see how to make it configurable with USB-to-GPIO unit. I am not responsible for this part and wouldn't know how to confirm if the unit is defective.

Hi Alan,

There is no backwards compatibility between the USB-TO-GPIO2 and USB-TO-GPIO. The Fusion Digital Power Designer software had to be updated to support the detection of the USB-TO-GPIO2 adapter.

Ben needs to know which adapter is recommended for BQWizard. Has the BQWizard team used the USB-TO-GPIO2? If not, then you may need to look at updating the software to support USB-TO-GPIO2 or recommend him another adapter that your team has used

My team cannot guarantee the compatibility of USB-TO-GPIO2 with BQWizard because we have not used BQWizard

Hello Ben,

The BQWizard "only supports the TI USB-TO-GPIO interface adapter", if you can't automatically connect with BQWizards with USB-TO-GPIO2 than it is not backwards compatible. Please make sure that you are using the original USB-TO-GPIO and meet the other system requirements as well. I've attached the BQwizard documentation as well.
